Engr. Ernesto Jayme Jr. is the Founder, President and CEO of ENJ Universal Skills Development Institute Inc- a TESDA registered Technical Vocational Institute that offers training, education, and development founded in November 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Engr. Jayme is the Senior Executive Assistant to the President of Abdul Latif Jameel Company (ALJ) from 2012 up to the present date. Before working at the President’s office, he was designated as Development Manager of Talent Management and Leaders Development (TMLD) Division and responsible for leading the team in the assessment, designing, development, implementation, and evaluation of training and development for, but not limited to, the associates of ALJ. Engr. Jayme also managed the Management Trainee Program (MTP) and Intra-Company Training in Japan (ICT).
Currently, Engr. Jayme is an affiliate member of the World Safety Organization (WSO) and an Accredited Safety Instructor. He is also the coordinator of the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) Graduate School for Masters in Business Administration for Health Professionals in the Middle East. He brought post graduate education to Saudi Arabia for the professional OFW’s who aim to continue their personal and educational development.
Before joining ALJ, Engr. Jayme garnered a vast experience in Academic Professorship, Educational Management, Research and Survey Management, Training and Events Management, Corporate Administration, Data and Information System Management, Instructional Systems Design and Management, Corporate and Academe Team Buildings, Customer Service Training, Sales Training Management, Industrial and Laboratory Analysis and Management.
Engr. Jayme is a licensed chemical engineer by profession and had the chance to practice his expertise for more than six years as Production Engineer cum Pollution Control and Safety Officer in a Japanese-owned multinational company-Philippine Japan Active Carbon Corporation (PJAC) from 1990 until 1996. He championed the Kaizen Implementation and Management, and ISO which is now the best practices of the company.
In pursuit of in-depth intellectual and higher academic achievement leading to career advancement, he shifted his career in 1996 from the industrial field to academe where he pursued his Masters Degree in Teaching College Chemistry under the FAPE scholarship program and completed in year 2000. He finished his academic requirements his Masters Degree in Environmental Resource Management.
He practiced academic professorship in two of the most prestigious academic institutions in Southern part of the Philippines, Davao City, for more than eleven years; the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) and the San Pedro College (SPC). He became the Dean of Student Affairs and later as Head of the Training Division of Management Information System Department (MIS) of UIC. He also headed Instructional Media Design team where he received the full funding for Instructional Media Projects by Fund Assistance for Private Education (FAPE).
Furthermore, Engr. Jayme took up the Doctorate in Philosophy Major in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) under the scholarship program at the Bukidnon State University, the only university in the Philippines that offers the PhD-ISD. With his expertise in Instructional Systems Design he has written and conducted research studies on Training and Development.
